Hailing from italy, the talented and uprising dj & producer M.I.T.A. reappears on Drowne Records with his 'Coherence EP'. Boiling it down with two great originals and two remixes by the magnificent, berlin-based Chris Colburn, this release will cause serious damage on dancefloors all over the world!

The title track 'Coherence' is a hell of a tune and starts straight-forward with an assertive kickdrum and a pumping bassline. Hollow percussion clank around and form a basis for a sweet groove, while crisp hi-hats call an offbeat emphasis into existence! Propelling shakers set up the energy, and mighty horns roar around to make clear that this tune was not produced to take prisoners!

Follow-up ‘Hybrid’ is well-defined by it’s swinging groove and the solid element-layerings. Rich hi-hats and adorable shakers supplement the tracks character, while an electrifying backing-pad adds tension at the right time!

Chris Colburns gets the heart out of the title-track ‘Coherence’, strips it down to the essence and creates two powerful pieces of contemporary techno! The first remix circles around the remarkable one-note synthstab from the original track and gains weight continually. Shakers swing back and forth and lay the foundation for lovely beat structures while an ethereal pad scoops itself out of the underground!

The second remix forthcomes as a tool and appears with a trippy and likewise stompy character. Tonal percussions bubble around and panned shakers predetermine the groove. The huge bassdrum strikes massive before it filters out in a hardcoresque sound pattern and snappy closed hi-hats emerge suddenly!

In conclusion this EP represents painless and effective techno and bristles with energy!
